Herbal Steam Benefits:

Beyond the luxurious experience, incorporating herbal steams into your routine offers a wealth of benefits:

  • Detoxification & Cleansing: The warmth helps open pores, allowing for deeper cleansing and the release of impurities.
  • Skin Rejuvenation: The aromatic oils from the herbs can soothe irritation, hydrate, and promote a healthy glow.
  • Respiratory Support: Inhaling steam, especially from blends like "Congestion Relief," can help clear nasal passages and ease breathing.
  • Stress Reduction & Relaxation: The calming aromas and warmth create a meditative environment, reducing tension and promoting a sense of peace.
  • Improved Circulation: The warmth of the steam can gently stimulate blood flow to the skin.
  • Mind-Body Connection: Taking time for these rituals encourages mindfulness, allowing you to unwind and reconnect with yourself.

{How to Use} Bath Tea: Fill the muslin bag with approximately 1/2 cup of herbs. Hang the bag from your faucet and allow hot water to run through it, or place the bag directly in the bath under very warm running water, gently squeezing the bag. Relax and soak for 15 – 20 minutes. When finished, empty the contents (compost the herbs!), rinse the bag, and allow it to dry for future use.

{How to Use} Facial Steam: Place 1/4 cup of herbs into the muslin bag. Place the bag in a pot or a 3-quart sized vessel/bowl. Pour 2 quarts of boiling water over the herbs. Cover the vessel and steep for 10 minutes. Allow the water to cool slightly to ensure the steam is not too hot. Place the vessel on a heatproof surface where you can comfortably sit. Lean your head approximately 12 inches from the vessel and drape a large towel over your head and the bowl to capture the steaming herbal water. Allow the steam to bathe your skin for a minute or so, then raise your head to take in fresh air. Repeat this process for a maximum of 5 to 10 minutes. You can lift a corner of the towel to let in a little cool air if it gets too hot. As the herbs steep, the rising steam will open your pores and carry the aromatic herbal oils to your skin. After steaming, splash your face with cool water to help close your pores, and gently pat dry. If your skin is extremely dry, consider applying a body butter for extra moisturizing benefits.
