This listing is for organic loose Ceylon tea sold by the ounce. This is a black tea and contains caffeine. It is one of the most common teas used in brewing tea and is excellent as a tea for brewing kombucha or as a companion with green tea. Brew as little or as much as you like in its loose form which can be used over again.
How to Brew Ceylon OP Black Tea
The Vessel: Teapot, French Press, or Vessel of your choosing.
Amount to use: Put 1 teaspoon of tea leaves into the teapot for every 8 oz. (236 ml) of water.
Water Temp: Fill the teapot with 90-95ºC (194-205ºF) water, which is just below the boiling point. You can use a stove top kettle, let it boil and then cool for 20 seconds.
Time: Place the lid on the teapot and let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes.
Pour the tea into the teacups and enjoy!
