Fresh Cut Mixed Greenery Wreaths and Garlands by Laura Rhodes Naturals

January 02, 2024

Fresh Cut Mixed Greenery Wreath made by Laura Rhodes Naturals (the Local Artisan mentioned on p.104 of BH&H:)) with Greenery foraged in Amherst, VA for an order for our customer who is a Local Interior Designer, Brittany Sydnor, in Lynchburg, VA for a Feb. 2023 Photoshoot at her home for Better Homes and Gardens December 2023 issue. A 32 inch wreath graced the front door of her renovated historic home along with 2 planters filled with extra mixed greenery and 2 four foot garlands. In addition, we made a total of 3 - 28 inch wreaths, 10 - 9 in mini wreaths, 16 - 18 inch wreaths and 8 - 16 inch wreaths which were dispersed and hung throughout her home. I threw in my 2 heart shaped wreaths made from a couple of fir trees that were saved from the landfill the day after Christmas. The 54 foot fresh cut evergreen garland wrapped around her staircase as well.

It took me a long time to figure out which BH & G magazine my items were going to be in, as they put out several Holiday editions. Finally, the publishers sent me a couple of complimentary issues, and lo and behold it was the one I thought it was. I had no idea Brittany's article would land the cover of the issue. When I first saw the cover photo online I thought it was just some Norman Rockwell type picture. But it was actually her young red headed son, tip-toeing atop a red ottoman reaching for a Christmas ornament from the Much Decorated Christmas Tree.

Another Feature I got for a photoshoot in the Christmas 2023 Holiday Moore and Giles Catalog done in July 2023. Moore and Giles is a local Leather Crafted Bags, Accessories, Furniture and Home Goods Company located in Forest, Va.
